To create a fix firmware you need to send the data of your printer:
1. Exact printer model
2. Firmware version
3. Machine Serial Number
4. CRUM Number of Black Toner chip
To check printer reports (in order not to make a mistake in the data) we recommend use the free program Printer Reports by ORPYS
it has the ability to save reports, you can send this report to us
Instruction (Manual) for program firmware
1. Connect printer to computer and enter the printer to Download Mode
- On the OFF the printer press button [Stop] after [Power]
- After the printer will be show [Wait Image]
2. Extract the archive with firmware and drag and drop file FIX_NU_XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX_Laser_178_179_V3.82.01.xx.hd on usbprns2.exe
- Wait for the printer to done programming (2 minutes) and then it will reboot itself.
- After the firmware, you need to glue tape of toner chip and not allow other chips
3. Done, the firmware is finished.

1. Enter the printer to Download Mode
2. Download and extract the archive with original firmware
3. Drag and drop file Color_Laser_178_179_V3.82.01.xx.hd on usbprns2.exe

Enter to Download Mode
- On the OFF the printer press button [Stop] after [Power]
- After the printer will be show [Wait Image]
Enter to Service Mode [for models with Fax]
- On the ON the printer need very quickly press buttons [Menu] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]
- In Service Mode - the language of Menu is only English
Enter to Service Mode [for models without Fax]
- On the ON the printer need very quickly press buttons [▲Menu] [▼Back] [◄] [►] [OK] [Stop] [Menu▲]
- In Service Mode - the language of Menu is only English
