Samsung SL-C460W, SL-C460FW chipless fix firmware
In Samsung SL-C460W and SL-C460FW printers, it is impossible to install chipless firmware using the standard USB method. This is because these models use firmware protection with a digital signature (Samsung Digital Signature), which blocks the loading of any unsigned files.
Simply put — chipless USB firmware does not exist for these models.
However, there is a solution.
The only way is to convert Samsung SL-C460W / SL-C460FW printers into CLX-3305W / CLX-3305FW, where an earlier firmware version V3.00.01.21 is used, which does not have this protection and allows operation in chipless mode.
The next steps are as follows: the printer must be disassembled, the side panel removed, the formatter board taken out, the NAND memory carefully desoldered and reprogrammed. After that, the chip is soldered back, the printer is reassembled, and only then it becomes possible to install chipless firmware via USB.
To perform this procedure, professional soldering skills are required, since the work is carried out with a NAND chip in a TSSOP-48 package (48 pins), where precision and accuracy are critical.
Specialized equipment is also required — a NAND programmer with a TSSOP-48 adapter, as well as an understanding of dump structure and memory behavior.

Important: NAND memory is not a regular flash drive. It may contain so-called bad blocks (defective areas), and if programmed incorrectly, the printer will not boot.
During programming, it is necessary to correctly handle the bad block table (BBT) and properly build the dump structure. Without this, even a “correct” firmware will not work.
